A native Acoti Alek has had shown a genuine interest in doing the “right thing” all his life. He was recruited early in life by the Temple of Pelor to serve as a Paladin. Eventually he moved to the capital of the nation serving alongside his friend Adrieen Shepard, a paladin whom he bonded with over a campaign against an orcish incursion some years ago. Injured during the raids he similarly bonded with Shoshanna Yah’rel, an Elvish Cleric serving Evandra.
The three maintain their friendship even while Alek was reassigned to the east, by the Paladinic Order of Acot he was sent to spread good will to the town of Shavenfell, a hamlet decimated by the recent attack of Petoc, the Pelorian sect of another nation and constant victims of orcish harassment.
The Kingdom of Acot is home to a holy site of Pelor and Acot and Petoc have been fighting over the site for years now with no real end in sight. Alek has shown personal interest in ending the war and restoring the name of Pelor and regaining the faithful.
Alek and his unlikely band of compatriots has served the town well, fighting off Orcs and performing other helpful deeds for the townsfolk along with helping to reestablish commerce. The group formed a company known as the Guild of the Drake with their mascot a tamed guard drake named Fandango.
A few months ago Alek received his niece a 7 year old named Aria into his care after the death of her parents. She has been studying under a local apothecary, but much to Alek’s dismay she has also been learning the “tricks of the trade” of fellow adventurer, Dopplemeyer Stotenbee, a Halfling Rouge. To help sharpen her skills and keep her out of trouble Alek has helped to establish a program for youths to learn practical skills like hunting. Aria has proven herself a promising young rouge much to the chagrin of the pillar of law and order Alek represents.
The Guild of the Drake is currently pursuing a cult of Vecna that appears to be headed by 3 Necromancers and Brothers, Shadrach, Mishak and Abendego. They have successfully dispatched the youngest of the brothers and are currently on the trail of Mishak, a master of disguise.
Recently Alek has been appointed a Captain of the Faith with the rights and privileges to direct the local temples in times of battle or crisis. With these new powers Alek has began to gather information to help bring the conflict with the nation Acot and the invading fanatics to a peaceful resolution
